CITY OF NITRO CONCRETE PAVING BIDS Bids will be based on the cost per square foot for a 10' x 20' x 6" concrete pad.Key concrete specifications for these residential streets include: Compressive Strength: A minimum of 4,000 psi compressive strength at 28 days for long-term durability against freeze-thaw cycles and vehicle loads. Air Entrainment: An air content of 6% 1.5% to provide space for water to expand when it freezes, preventing cracking. Slump: A maximum slump of 4 to 5 inches allows for proper workability without sacrificing structural integrity.
